I'm Back!!


That's right, after over a year of being MIA...I'm back! Woot-Woot!!

I'll be posting all sorts of fun and easy recipes as well as cool DIY crafts for the house and the kids!

Here's a few to get you started... Enjoy!!

ABC Stones

Here's a cute, creative way to help your child learn their ABC's...


WHAT YOU'LL NEED:











-1-2 packages of medium sized river rocks
-Package of colorful puffy paints/pens


DIRECTIONS:

1) Lay out 26 rocks out

2) Write one letter on each rock
3) Decorate each letter and/or rock















4) Have fun learning ABC's!

Hawaiian Chicken

If you are looking for a great easy dish that everyone will love, especially the kids, then you've got to try this!!

Hawaiian Chicken
Served over white rice & stir fry veggies



INGREDIENTS:

-1(10 ounce) jar sweet and sour sauce
-1 cup packed brown sugar
-1/2 cup orange juice
-4 tablespoons white wine
-1/4 cup butter, melted
-4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts

DIRECTIONS:

1) Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

2) In a bowl, combine sweet and sour sauce, brown sugar, orange juice, white wine and melted butter.

3) Place chicken in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and pour sweet and sour sauce mixture over chicken.

4) Bake for 45 minutes in the preheated oven, until the sauce has reduced to a think glaze.

Top with fresh pineapple when served!

Pom-Pom Fun!

I got this idea from my best friend and it's one of the greatest, cheapest toys ev-er! 



WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

-Plastic Containers (bought these at Walmart for less than $2)
-Package of Pom Pom (bought these at Walmart for less than $2)
-Exacto Knife/Box Cutter



DIRECTIONS:

1) Cut a small hole on the lid of the container with the exacto knife/box cutter

2) Close the container and have the kids push the pom-poms through and they will have endless fun!!


Chicken Parmesan (4 Servings)

Quick & easy Chicken Parmesan
Served over noodles of choice, bread & salad

INGREDIENTS:

-4 Half Chicken Breasts (skinned & boned)
-2 Cans (14/15 oz) Italian Style Stewed Tomatoes
-2 tbsp cornstarch
-1/2 tsp oregano or basil, crushed
-1/4 tsp hot pepper sauce (optional)
-1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese


DIRECTIONS:
1) Preheat oven to 425. Place chicken in baking dish. Bake covered 15 minutes; drain.

2) While chicken is baking, combine tomaotoes, cornstarch, oregano and pepper sauce; cook, stirring constantly until sauce is thinkened.  Pour sauce over chicken; top with cheese.  Bake 5 or 10 minutes uncovered.
